Dr. Mark Kurchak, DDS MS

Dr. Kurchak is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics — a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists — who focuses specifically on early, interceptive care for growing kids. Rather than treating crooked teeth as a cosmetic problem to fix later, he looks at the whole picture: jaw growth, bite, oral habits, and airway health.

When something falls outside orthodontics — a breathing or sleep concern, for example — he'll say so directly and help coordinate with your pediatrician, ENT, or sleep specialist rather than guess.

Before you book

Why start at age 3 instead of waiting until 7? +

By age 3, a lot of your child's growth pattern is already taking shape. Seeing kids early lets us use gentle, non-invasive guidance while the jaw is still developing, instead of reacting later with extractions or longer treatment.

What actually happens at the free evaluation? +

Dr. Kurchak examines your child's teeth, bite, jaw growth, and habits, answers your questions in plain language, and tells you honestly whether treatment is or isn't needed right now — no pressure either way.

What if my child doesn't need treatment yet? +

Then we'll tell you that, and simply recommend a check-back visit down the road. A lot of evaluations end with "let's keep watching" rather than a treatment plan — that's a normal, good outcome.

Do we need a referral, and do you take insurance? +

No referral is needed — you can book directly. We accept most major insurance plans and will check your coverage before any treatment begins, so there are no surprises.
