About our practice
We built this practice around one idea: a child's bite and jaw are still growing, so the best time to look closely is while there's still room to guide that growth — not just straighten what's already set.
Meet your child's orthodontist
Dr. Kurchak is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics — a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists — who focuses specifically on early, interceptive care for growing kids. Rather than treating crooked teeth as a cosmetic problem to fix later, he looks at the whole picture: jaw growth, bite, oral habits, and airway health.
When something falls outside orthodontics — a breathing or sleep concern, for example — he'll say so directly and help coordinate with your pediatrician, ENT, or sleep specialist rather than guess.
Meet Dr. Kurchak at your child's free evaluationTeeth are only part of the picture. Jaw growth, oral habits, and airway health all factor into an honest recommendation.
A lot of evaluations end in "let's keep watching." We're not trying to fill a treatment plan — we're trying to give you a straight answer.
When something falls outside orthodontics, we say so and help connect you with your pediatrician, ENT, or sleep specialist.
The golden window
Many general dental offices don't start looking until age 6 or 7, once most adult teeth are already in. We look earlier, while there's still room to guide growth instead of just reacting to it.
Every child is different, and early treatment isn't right for every case. It cannot guarantee that braces will be avoided later — but it does mean nothing gets missed, and every option stays on the table.
